    It’s also illegal to use cluster bombs against civilian populations, because of precisely the reason that they’re indiscriminate – you can’t guarantee that they’ll hit military targets and not be picked up by a child who thinks it’s a shiny box.

    They were originally designed for use as runway denial weapons, but trust the Israelis to use them in urban areas…
